A medical aid is a type of an insurance scheme where the members pay a regular contribution to their scheme, in return their insurance scheme will thus pay for their medical expenses such as hospital, doctor and dentist bills, medicines and other medical services like dentistry, physiotherapy etc. A medical aid is now a need not a luxury.
